Practical Steps to Achieving HIPAA Privacy Compliance for Smaller Health Plan Sponsors

HIPAA Privacy compliance is a fact of life for health plan sponsors. Large plans (greater than $5 million in annual receipts) have had to comply since last spring. Now, in just two months (by April 14, 2004), all other health plans will need to comply (with the exception of selffunded, selfadministered health plans of 50 or fewer participants, which are specifically exempted). Are you ready? To help you prepare, Administration Resources Corporation (ARC) will be conducting a live, 90minute HIPAA Privacy webcast focusing on the practical steps that health plan sponsors must take in order to achieve timely compliance. Thus, this will be a "how to" approach to compliance. Samples of the various forms and notices will be provided, and we will walk participants through numerous examples of how the forms and notices need to be completed in reallife circumstances. We will also address the training and documentation requirements associated with compliance. In addition, participants will receive a handy checklist/action plan for compliance that will walk them through the practical steps they must complete. Finally, following the webcast, all registrants will also have access to the questions and answers that are submitted by participants to ARC during the course of the webcast so that they can achieve a more comprehensive understanding of how to proceed.
