Speakers SHARI K. DUNN is Managing Principal of CompAnalysis. Prior to establishing CompAnalysis in 1980, Shari held management and professional positions with a number of companies, including McKinsey & Co., Deloitte & Touche, Castle & Cooke, Fibreboard Corporation, Bank of America, and Boise Cascade Corporation. While employed by these organizations, she functioned as both consultant and manager in the areas of compensation strategy development, job evaluation, salary administration, executive compensation, benefits and sales, and incentive compensation. In addition to her management and consulting activities, Shari is a wellknown speaker and regularly leads seminars and workshops on employee compensation and related matters for a variety of audiences. She also serves as an expert witness in connection with wage and hour litigation and other compensation matters. KATE BEATTY, CCP, is president of LKB Associates, a management consulting firm specializing in issues of compensation and performance management. She received a B.S. from the University of Tulsa and did her graduate studies at the University of Chicago. JOSY KOUMANS is senior consultant in the Performance, Measurement and Rewards practice in Seattle where she specializes in aligning compensation and talent management programs with business priorities. She partners with clients on a range of issues, including compensation strategy, reward program design, competency modeling, career development, and performance management. Josy has over 10 years of consulting and project management experience. She has consulted to regional, national and multinational clients across many industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, retail, technology, and notforprofit organizations. Josy recently coauthored "Building the Talent Pipeline at Microsoft" (Workspan Magazine, October 2004) and has been a speaker at regional HR events. She holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management, with a concentration in strategy, and a bachelors degree with honors from Brown University.
