He is the author of four books on health care cost management and human resource topics. His book, Health Care Cost Management: Solutions for Employers, was marketed by 23 State Chambers of Commerce and sold over 6,000 copies. Mr. Hicks served as Director of Human Resources at St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond, Indiana and St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He was VicePresident of Human Resources at Lindberg Corporation in Chicago for eight years. Mr. Hicks has served on the Board of Directors of the Society for Human Resources Management as National Treasurer, VicePresident of Personnel Research, and VicePresident of Health, Safety and Security.
